I qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Birmingham in 2004. After completing my junior rotations I moved to New Zealand to live and work for a year where I discovered my passion for sports injuries and performance physiotherapy. Since my return to the UK I have gained physiotherapy experience in a number of sports such as running, cycling, triathlon, swimming, rugby, cricket and hockey. Recently I have started working with GB Canoeing, covering flatwater, slalom and freestyle training camps and events. I also still work in a sports injury clinic in Nottingham.
I am shortly due to complete a sports physiotherapy MSc, which has allowed me to keep up to date with the latest evidence surrounding injury and rehabilitation.
In my spare time I enjoy playing hockey, kayaking, rock climbing and sailing. I am also aiming to complete my first sprint triathlon this summer.
